50 Mile Churches Challenge      
 
         
  This route is aimed at the more serious cyclists, and cycling clubs,    Links    
  and takes you through picturesque Northamptonshire villages via  
     
  quiet country lanes and old gated roads.   The route    
       
     
     
  This is a circular route, starting from Guilsborough, and with a total Register by email      
  distance of 52 miles. The 50 mile Challenge route is proposed as       
  part of the Northamptonshire Historic Churches Trust fund raising
     
  day, and I hope that those of you that may ride this route will choose NHCT Round the   
  to raise sponsorship money towards this cause. If you do not raise Churches event     
  sponsorship money, then I request that you make a donation of at    homepage    
  least £5 towards the charity. There will also be an opportunity to        
  make a donation at any churches that you visit where you may take        
  rest and refreshment.

  All of the villages through which you will pass will have churches that        
  are open to visit on this day. I would like to encourage you to take the        
  opportunity to stop and enjoy, but appreciate that Challenge riders        
  may have a schedule to maintain.          
         
  How to register  
  Please register your interest in 50 Mile Challenge with Mike Fulcher  
  by 6th Sept 2008 by email (see link here), or leave a message  
  at 01604 743154.  
  Please include: your name, telephone number, email address, number  
  of people likely to attend.  
 
  How to start on the day  
  The start is at Guilsborough Church.  
  Challenge riders should be ready to start between 10am and 11am.*  
  Register with the attendant at the church using you sponsorship form  
  if you are going to use one, and / or make a donation for which you   
  will be given a receipt.  
 
  Refreshments  
  Many of the open churches will be serving drinks and biscuits.

  Please note that the standard safety advice as published for the  
  NHCT walk and ride applies also to the Churches Challenge ride.  
  There is not an enforced check in at the end of the ride, and the  
  organisers cannot take any responsibility for the safety of the  
  participants.
