The Northamptonshire Historic Churches Trust annual “Ride & Stride” is an event that I have helped to organise for several years as the Guilsborough village local organiser.

 

The Ride & Stride takes place in early September, raising money for the NHCT, to support funding to maintain our historic and beautiful churches. It is a national event organised in regions.

 

Most people that take part cycle the country lanes to visit the churches that are open on the day, and it is a great opportunity to compare the architecture of one to another. Sponsorship money raised is split between you nominated church and a central fund for Northamptonshire that is then distributed as grants.
